2nd consecutive WIN...

Ashburton had made its 4th win over the season and we have seen much improvent from what we started off.
We are now quite stable in terms of field play and we are way much better over the past few games with victories or draw confirmed in our hands.
However we can't be complacent now as we have much more to improve and long way to go in soccer.

The match started off well with ashburton dominating possession of about >60%.
Possession is 9Th/10 of the law for us and our chance came early.
It was melson who opened the scoring this time round.
He received a long ball from syariff at the right and he was unmarked.
So he took advantage of it and shoot the ball past between the legs of the opponent's goalkeeper.
The scoreline 1-0 wasn't long enough as our top scorer scored a brilliant goal later on.
Haikal was open from the left side of the penalty box and his shot was so powerful and accurate that it seems as if he had use a cheat code.
We were 2-0 up and there were 5 minutes of play left before half-time.
This time round shafie was lucky enough to have shoot the ball from nowhere and he OLEd the keeper to make it 3-0 to ashburton just before half-time.

Our keeper and defenders were not really test then as the ball was always on our attacking side.

In the second half however didn't see us scoring much more goals even though we maintained our play.
Occasionally our defence were threatened but it doesn't did much damage.
When we thought we couldn't score anymore goals, we keep playing offensive and that paid off.
Charles lobbed his shot from the left wing and it beat pass the keeper who was helpless as the ball went to the top right corner of the post.
That finalise our trashing scoreline.

FINAL SCORE 4-0.

Aftermath:
In the end, izhaq still did not need to make any great save as he wasn't really tested in the match.
Although our regular defenders were not in the match, we still could win comfortably.
In the match, nasrul keeps going forward and played solo as well as sucky corner kicks.
Ammar, shafie, syariff and amir were always the unhappy ones as they grumble and scold one another a lot.
Adam played for us even though he wasn't fully recovered.
However we couldn't see his magic and true colours for this game as he can't be on form till end of this year due to broken leg.
Overall we played quite good compared to previous trashing match too and if we keep moving on forward, we could go further after O LEVELS.

THE END.

(FORMATION: 4-4-2)

Trashing...

The match was rather bad football by both teams.
However ashburton managed to clinch a victory over skills that kills.
Izhaq have ever since held his first clean sheet award.
In the early stage of the game, we took the lead through charles.
He had converted haikal's low cross/shot towards the far post from the right, which had miss everyone, and he was on the right place at the right time to tap home his 6Th goal.
Shafie then widened our lead with his lucky shot passed their keeper to make it 2-0.
And charles scored again later on to secure a 3-0 victory over skills that kills.
The match was not taken seriously however and it was not a smooth game.
Only 10 players aside for that match.
Luck were only on our side as we seriously had not played real football for that match.
For example, haikal, shafie, nasrul, charles and amir were all playing by their own(solo).
And the back 5 had an easy time as not many attacks and shots from the opponent.
Eugene, justin and amir once sat down at the back when we were conquering their half.
Eugene and ammar however mistimed many balls today and let it bounce back to the safety of our keeper, izhaq.
It was a sloppy play overall but a win still counts as a win.
Final score: won 3-0

Formation(4-1-2-1):
Izhaq;

Great Game

ON JULY THE 1ST, YOUTH DAY, ASHBURTON HAD A WELL-PLAYED MATCH.
Despite losing by one goal margin, we actually bounced back from 2 goals down to 2-1 by the half time.
Khabir was the man-of-the-match.
He live up our chances of winning when he slot it in for our first goal.
The left flank of the team was brilliant as Shakur, Khabir, Shafie and Haikal linked well with perfect passes and crosses which saw many shots from the there.
And eventually Khabir was eyeing for an open far-post just before half-time open our scoring chances.
However, before that, Hafiz who had been absent for long time started in this match but were unfortunate enough that he caught an injury to himself about 25 mins of play.
So Faizal had to come in to replace him.
Everyone played quite well and there were not too many obvious mistakes.
The match was pretty no comments-(usually we were blaming each other's fault that pulled the team down.)

We actually thought that we drew this match 3-3 as all of us forgotten that we were 1-goal down before the start of 2nd half.
Farshad, our newest signing, second GK, replaced Izhaq, who didn't want to come due to unseen circumstances.
Early the 2nd half, our attack was like fluid and pass through their defence quite easily.
It was then when Khabir who strike in again, this time with a floating shot that beats the out-of-line opponent keeper.
The scores were level, tied at 2-2.
There were still much time to play for.
And the lack of central defenders prove to be costly as the opponent scored a powerful goal from their centre attack. Our keeper had dived the right way, only letting the ball slip in between his gloves.
And 2nd half however saw us conceding many corners.
This again proved to be costly and luckily Shakur was there at the right time to clear the ball off the line twice.
And perhaps maybe one of it had gone in, but he just put the ball over the back of the crossbar for another of their corner.
And their winning goal could actually be stopped but the right of the post was left empty after our keeper had dropped to steal the ball from their striker.
The other defenders tried to close him/them down but eventually they gave some space for him to shoot.
Actually Shakur was hand ball as he tried to push the ball out of the line.
Bt the ball was too fast and it certainly went in.
4-2 down bt however one split attack made us score a consolation goal.
Haikal was free in the centre and he tried to follow Khabir's method of shooting from far.
And it was proven great as haikal score which he lobbed over the off-line keeper again.
There were two free kicks before that and the first one, Shafie took it.
He had place the ball over the wall perfectly for Haikal who's unmarked.
However haikal was not concentrating and he let the ball pass out for their goal kick.
He could have volleyed in.
And syariff was uncomfortable withe CD though.
The second free kick was haikal's turn to take and he managed to beat the wall, only for their keeper to save it.

The match was great and maybe one of the best in ashburton's record.
The opponent were also one of the nicest.
