Great Game

ON JULY THE 1ST, YOUTH DAY, ASHBURTON HAD A WELL-PLAYED MATCH.
Despite losing by one goal margin, we actually bounced back from 2 goals down to 2-1 by the half time.
Khabir was the man-of-the-match.
He live up our chances of winning when he slot it in for our first goal.
The left flank of the team was brilliant as Shakur, Khabir, Shafie and Haikal linked well with perfect passes and crosses which saw many shots from the there.
And eventually Khabir was eyeing for an open far-post just before half-time open our scoring chances.
However, before that, Hafiz who had been absent for long time started in this match but were unfortunate enough that he caught an injury to himself about 25 mins of play.
So Faizal had to come in to replace him.
Everyone played quite well and there were not too many obvious mistakes.
The match was pretty no comments-(usually we were blaming each other's fault that pulled the team down.)

We actually thought that we drew this match 3-3 as all of us forgotten that we were 1-goal down before the start of 2nd half.
Farshad, our newest signing, second GK, replaced Izhaq, who didn't want to come due to unseen circumstances.
Early the 2nd half, our attack was like fluid and pass through their defence quite easily.
It was then when Khabir who strike in again, this time with a floating shot that beats the out-of-line opponent keeper.
The scores were level, tied at 2-2.
There were still much time to play for.
And the lack of central defenders prove to be costly as the opponent scored a powerful goal from their centre attack. Our keeper had dived the right way, only letting the ball slip in between his gloves.
And 2nd half however saw us conceding many corners.
This again proved to be costly and luckily Shakur was there at the right time to clear the ball off the line twice.
And perhaps maybe one of it had gone in, but he just put the ball over the back of the crossbar for another of their corner.
And their winning goal could actually be stopped but the right of the post was left empty after our keeper had dropped to steal the ball from their striker.
The other defenders tried to close him/them down but eventually they gave some space for him to shoot.
Actually Shakur was hand ball as he tried to push the ball out of the line.
Bt the ball was too fast and it certainly went in.
4-2 down bt however one split attack made us score a consolation goal.
Haikal was free in the centre and he tried to follow Khabir's method of shooting from far.
And it was proven great as haikal score which he lobbed over the off-line keeper again.
There were two free kicks before that and the first one, Shafie took it.
He had place the ball over the wall perfectly for Haikal who's unmarked.
However haikal was not concentrating and he let the ball pass out for their goal kick.
He could have volleyed in.
And syariff was uncomfortable withe CD though.
The second free kick was haikal's turn to take and he managed to beat the wall, only for their keeper to save it.

The match was great and maybe one of the best in ashburton's record.
The opponent were also one of the nicest.
